HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY ORDER?
Party cakes and cupcakes need to be booked three or more weeks in advance. Wedding cakes need to be booked six or more months in advance to ensure availability.
HOW DO WE PLACE AN ORDER?
Please use the contact tab on our website or send an email to cakedupcville@gmail.com. When ordering, please indicate the date of your event, serving size, and an inspiration photo. Please note that florals, gold leaf, geodes, and any features to enhance your cake will affect the total cost.
HOW DO WE PAY FOR OUR ORDER?
The total balance of your order must be paid in full upon ordering (excluding wedding clients). You will have 24 hours to reserve your requested date.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER?
Due to the nature of the services provided by Caked Up Cville, any order confirmed by the client/organization/business requesting cannot be cancelled. Orders can be postponed in emergency situations and a credit of 50% will be given to the client good for 90 days post the original event date. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
WHAT ARE THE PICKUP TERMS?
You will be given a specific time to pickup your order. If you are more than 15 minutes late of your scheduled pickup time, a late fee of $35 will be due immediately unless prior arrangements have been made.
HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE OR CUPCAKES?
For pick up orders, we recommend that cakes be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle (on the floor) with the air conditioning on.
DO YOU DELIVER?
We only deliver within Charlottesville City Limits. There is a minimum $15 delivery fee and will vary depending on minutes and/or mileage.
DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN THEME CUPCAKES AND/OR CAKES
NO. We do not specialize in theme or novelty style cakes or cupcakes. All of our cakes and cupcakes are buttercream only with no fondant.
DO YOU WRITE ON CAKES?
No, we don't add writing to our cakes but use a local company for our custom cake toppers if given proper notice.
DO YOU OFFER MIXED DOZEN CUPCAKES?
NO, we offer one flavor cupcake per dozen.
HOW DO WE STORE OUR CUPCAKES AND CAKE?
We do not recommend leaving your cake out of the refrigerator for more than two hours. Refrigerating your cake after pick up will hold its' moisture. Once your cake is cut, an air-tight container and refrigeration will help ensure that you are able to get the most from your cake.
